Description

this is another picture of my sister. The picture was taken by my dad at a swim meet. My sister is quite the swimmer. In 9-10 age group she was top 10 in the united states and first in the pacific for breast stroke, which is her best stroke.

i love the world of competitive swimming myself and was inspired by rychelanderawhile ago to draw a swimming picture. So this picture is deticated to rychelander and my sister. ( =

Very nice drawing, but it needs a little bit of more contrast, I d suggest using softer grade pencils. But the drawings s good, you ve done the water well, which is always a challenge.

Not bad

Very nice drawing but you should darken the shadows to add more contrast... the water would look more shiny :)
Great drawing! +8

thank you all very much for the comments and tips!
the one thing i really want to work on right now is shiny stuff in my pictures. I am just not very good at it, which is one reason why i drew this picture. So the tips are very much appreciated. ( =

Woohoo!! I knew it would come! Well done, Amanda. I agree with the above comments, even though I like low contrast drawings a lot. As a personal preference I would like to see it sharper, most of the lines seem blurred/softened. I'd think it would be more a more explosive expression of the swimming dynamo if the edges were super sharp or even edgy. Love the water over her left arm though. Thanks for the dedication! I guess I need to put pencil to paper and get something else up here :p Nice job again!

thanks for the comment! i totally agree about it needing a sharper look. I was trying to give it that, but it didnt turn out like i wanted. but thats ok, ill try and fix it later, but for now i am really tired of it. ( =

Awesome work, the water rendering is ace. I do think it could do with slightly more contrast though.

You've captured the motion of water best on the Left side... That's quite a chellenge you took on there, and I think very well done!
